What would you do in this role?

As an intern, you’ll work closely with our Senior Social Media Manager and assist our social media team with running The Everygirl’s and The Everymom’s social media platforms. You’ll brainstorm, pitch, and create new and engaging content with the goal to increase brand awareness, drive conversions to respective sites, and manage The Everygirl Media Group’s brand image. You’ll learn how to further develop your social media skills in a professional work environment and how we operate as a media company. This internship is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in social media.

Responsibilities

  • Create entertaining graphics for in-feed Instagram posts, Instagram stories, and Pinterest.
  • Monitor and post to platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Twitter.
  • Analyze post performance and analytics to gauge success.
  • Research topics, trends, and creators to cover and potentially partner with.
  • Participate in brainstorms and content ideation to develop social-first content that increases brand awareness and engagement.
  • Stay updated on the latest TikTok and video content trends, brainstorming ideas on how to leverage these trends.
  • Source third-party content to repost across platforms.
  • Assist in creating engaging video content for Reels or TikTok.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Passion for social media marketing.
  • Understanding of The Everygirl Media Group brand voice and audience.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of creating graphics in Canva.
  • Experience with video content creation and editing.
  • Excellent multitasking, time management, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to collaborate with the team on content ideas.
  • Own computer and reliable Wi-Fi.
  • Availability for two days per week, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (CST), preferably Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

  • Major in marketing, journalism, or communications or a related field, or a demonstration of equivalent expertise through relevant work experience for positions in these fields.

About the position

Are you a creative, internet-savvy individual with your pulse on everything trending? Do you spend your mornings catching up on the latest content from your favorite media outlets? Are you able to turn around a well-written, witty, and engaging piece of content under tight deadlines? We’re looking for an eager, knowledgeable intern who can help create content for our audiences at The Everygirl Media Group.

What would you do in this role?

This position will help The Everymom team create content across various topics, including but not limited to: fashion, beauty, wellness, living, culture, parenting, and career and finance. You’ll work directly with our managing editor throughout the entire content creation process. Responsibilities will include writing and updating stories, helping editors put their content together, and working with images and graphics. You will also have the opportunity to pitch and contribute your own story ideas.

This is a paid internship ideal for someone looking to gain experience in media and journalism. Must be available 20 hours per week during The Everygirl Media Group’s core business hours, 9:30am-3:30pm CST.

Qualifications

The Branded Content Editor works collaboratively with the sales, editorial, and social teams at The Everygirl to develop and manage content for partners and readers. This role involves overseeing branded content across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, and newsletters. From concept creation to publication and performance analysis, the Branded Content Editor is responsible for maintaining The Everygirl’s voice, ensuring quality, and contributing to the brand’s expansion

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop innovative campaigns that attract new business opportunities.
  • Lead the development of campaigns from concept to execution across all platforms, ensuring alignment with client objectives and editorial best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, editorial, social media, and newsletter teams to shape campaign strategies.
  • Demonstrate a consistent ability to pitch fresh and engaging ideas.
  • Manage multiple concurrent campaigns to ensure timely delivery of content.
  • Support the collection of data and metrics for branded content, providing insights for both internal teams and brand partners.

  • Conceptualize and write 2-3 original branded content articles per week, effectively capturing client objectives in compelling content.
  • Collaborate with the Branded Content Managing Editor to assign writers, photographers, and freelancers as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent expertise demonstrated through relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in lifestyle and/or branded content editorial at a publisher.
  • Enthusiasm for on-camera appearances to bring branded content to life, coupled with a good sense of humor for creating campaigns that feel authentic and relatable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience in creating social media content, including Reels/TikTok and Instagram stories.
  • Ability to translate partner brand stories into engaging and compelling content for The Everygirl’s platforms.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and effective multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable and experienced in a fast-paced startup environment, thriving within a collaborative team setting.
